With dozens of third-party grocers partnering with Amazon to showcase their brands on amazon.com, it was critical to develop a design system to efficiently manage a huge number of marketing graphics.
The challenge was multifold: allowing marketers to rapidly make their own marketing graphics (reducing time-consuming manual requests to in-house designers), ensuring that those graphics are consistent with Amazon style guidelines, while honoring each brand’s unique style.
As project lead, I tested and mocked up countless iterations of modular systems, meeting with key stakeholders from design, marketing, and leadership along the way.
Once the final design was approved, I worked with our design engineers to build automated templates that would pull in pre-defined brand color palettes, typography, and imagery to allow marketers to create graphics that felt custom-built for each third-party brand.
