CASE STUDY: RESEARCH

Final Pass: Testing for Clarity, Usability, and Confidence

A Final Check

More often than not, user researchers want to be involved in the design of a new product or product revision from the very start of the project. This allows user insights to shape the product from start to finish, creating both a better product and a better user experience. However, there are cases when a product team also needs a final test of their new tool or digital product in order to uncover any remaining bugs and assure that they are ready for an upcoming launch. This was one such study.

Pre-Launch User Testing

My team built a product designed to explain how other products work, with an emphasis on translating technical information into everyday language. The goal was to promote transparency, empower users, and address common questions in a clear, accessible way. Research contributed to the UI of the build, as well as the language used.

I conducted the final, pre-launch research as an unmoderated study, using an online tool (like UserTesting). This allowed social media users to interact with the new digital product at their own pace, providing feedback on its usability and how well they understood the information presented.

Confirmation of Launch Readiness

My findings showed that the user interface largely met expectations and successfully delivered the information users needed. Based on their feedback, a few minor adjustments were made before launch. The study ultimately validated a key product that supported AI-related launches across the company.
